It’s a Plan Stan – MdS 2016 Training Program

Hi Everyone.

So the time has come to finally get a plan together for next year’s MdS and I’d appreciate feedback on my proposed training program from those of you that have completed a multi-day stage race such as the MdS, Jungle Marathon, 4 Deserts Marathon etc.

By way of background, I have a number of Ironman Triathlons under my belt, plus lots of 70.3 races. In addition, I’ve been running 7 days per week for the past year covering on average 80-90km+ per week. Longest run recently was 50km around 8 weeks ago which was in training for the North Face 100 (which unfortunately I had to pull out of due to a sprained ankle). I am currently injury free. All distances are in km.

Below is my proposed training program for the MdS 2016.
